Hello all,
This is a summary of today's meeting (29 July 2010) on #kmymoney on
freenode.net, 1600-1700 UTC.
Attending: Thomas Baumgart, Ian Neal, Cristian Onet, Jack Ostroff,
Alvaro Soliverez,
- some documentation issues will be deferred until after the release
-- changing the copyright statement to the actual developers names
instead of "The KMyMoney Development Team."
-- we need to make the man page and output of --help closer
- entities have been created for developers listed in the handbook and
added to kdelibs so spelling and email can be consistent across all KDE
docs. You can check if you are listed in index.docbook in the doc
directory. If corrections are needed, tell Jack.
- Thomas has fixed the issue with duplicate transaction IDs, and will
be looking at open bugs related to transaction matching and QIF issues.
- Cristian will look at bug 236475 (a size issue with the overdue
schedules dialog). If he can fix the link error for KMM under mingw,
then the stable release can be for Windows also. He will look at build
system related issues and general build system cleanup. He will also
look at improving the performance of the ledger, if it can be done
safely.
- Thomas already started to put the ability to create the HTML handbook
(for the web page) back into the build system. There was discussion of
whether this was necessary and whether the "meinproc" program could be
used. The problem with make uninstall not removing broken symlinks is
probably a more central KDE issue.
- Cristian reported that Vincent Ordy has found the cause of the KDE
build system twice compiling some mocked files.
- Alvaro is looking at bug 241855 (reconiciliation problem with cleared
and difference amounts). There may be a fix for now, but this will
probably take more work later, since the overall reconciliation UI
probably needs updating.
- There is continuing work on the UI style, particularly the splash
background, startpage background, and titlebar, but there are still
issues getting the colors to blend nicely.
- Ian will continue to work on any bugs related to scheduled
transactions.
- There was a question about the overal quality of translations, but no
definitive answer.
- Thomas will deal with the bug on problems editing the memo field in
certain cases in the investment transaction wizard, as well as the one
(bug 240816) about fields being cleared when editing multiple
transactions at once.
- There were three crash bugs still on BKO, but all were unconfirmed.
All will be closed with a note to reopen if they still occur under the
new release.
- Jack will replace some screenshots in the manual which show the wrong
background.
Please let me know if I missed or misreported anything.
Next meeting: 12 August, 16:00 UTC, #kmymoney on freenode.net
