We'll try to fix this.

I think some work was done in this area after the 3.95 beta release.

You can use 'Settings' -> 'Hide status bar' and 'Hide toolbar' to gain
some extra vertical space for the actual content.

Since netbooks are getting more popular and KMyMoney is an application
that a user would use when he is on the move I think we can set
ourselves a goal to make the application usable at a minimum
resolution of 1024x600, I don't think that the come with less than
that.
