Question Regarding MergedImage.png

To whom it may concern,

Hello, I am currently researching Krita 5.3 using the AppImage and had a question in regards to the mergedimage.png file. I believe it is created when a .kra file is changed into a .zip file. While testing a document that had canvas data, I discovered that the mergedimage file is blank, along with the preview.png file. Why isn't the canvas data being shown in this instance? I used a brush with a text layer. Do I need to cause an improper crash in order to see the merged layers?
