I got this same couple of messages the other times:

krita(24585) KisPaintOpRegistry::instance: The following brush engines
do not provide a default brush and are removed ()

just as you. This is probably some small detail that it's passing.
I'm doing again, copying one of the others paintops in the directory and
modifying, as you said. It's not working again, but at least i'm getting
familiar
with the code. I'll take a look at *image/brushengine/kis_paintop_registry.*
* and
*image/brushengine/kis_paintop_factory.** to figure out the steps to load a
paintop and see if I can find the error.

I'll be in the IRC by 16h (GMT -3h) asking people around for some guidance.
If you show up we could discuss more about all the project.
