I had a quick look at the code, and I would say it is an API bug.
KoColorProfile::name()
correspond to what we usually call "id" and KoColorProfile::description()
correspond to
what we usually call "name".

So when we implemented the profile selection dialog we used ::name()
instead of ::description().
