Need help with testing again: selection tools and modifiers

Hi!

I have one more fixes-branch waiting for the merge. Could you test it a
bit, if you have some time?

What needs to be tested:

The changes fix modes for the tools, especially for the selection tools. So
for all the selection tools, freehand, multihand and dyna tool the
following actions should work as expected:
1) Accessing additional modes with Shift or Ctrl or Space
2) Pressing Esc while doing some action with the tool should not make fatal
things.
3) Cursors of the tools should look sane, even when you press
Ctrl/Space/Shift in random order (especially for the freehand tool).
4) Cursor/outline should correspond to the current mode of the tool
