[Francisco Fernandes]

Hello everyone!

My name is Francisco Fernandes and I'm a computational geometry student
in the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN
<http://www.ufrn.br>in portuguese), here in Brazil.
In the next months I'll be coding for Krita in this year GSoC.

I proposed<http://www.google-melange.com/gsoc/project/google/gsoc2012/chicao/15001>a
sandpainting <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KaU2knwpMU0&feature=fvst>brush,
more specifically in the aspects of
grain interaction. When we speak about sandpainting, the most relevant
aspect is the dynamic movements of the artist, leaving the color
with a less important role. In this project I'll be focused exactly in
the dynamic movements of the painter and it's effects in the sand, since
I believe I would need more time to deal with the volumetric and the
color aspects of the brush.

My official mentor in this journey is Pentalis, whom helped me a lot in the
conception of the idea. Probably I could not have done this

Anyway, thank you all to give me this opportunity to be part of the Krita
community and I hope that my efforts help to improve it.
