Or maybe gimp-painter has a similar hack to ours... Animtim and I tried with kdeenlive to see whether it had weirdness selecting things from comboboxes in dockers, and we saw that it didn't, then realized that for instance the layer blending mode combo always works, but the tool option combo doesn't, and that points to our tool-per-input-device code.
