Well, yes... but actually... no :P
I tried the last two days to find the cause of this but wasn't really 
successfully.
And i convinced myself that this isn't caused by my code :D (but you can 
of course prove me I've been wrong).
I have three guesses about this.

First I think it could be something wrong in the scaling algorithm of 
brush masks.
When scaling a bitmap brushes up really much with the "Pixel Brush" 
PaintOp I've got some weird artefacts too.
And when doing it with a mask, some parts of the mask disappear.

The second guess is that this is triggered somehow by the bitmap brushes 
itself?
I noticed that you guys used some bitmap brushes from GPS (Gimp Paint 
Studio).
Yesterday I've replaced all brushes with the newer 1.5 Beta (or 
whatever) version of GPS brushes and I don't have this problem anymore.

Third: since I've done some coding that I haven't committed yet, it 
could be that I fixed it by mistake :D (but I don't believe in this :P)
