I think Krita might be overkill, for what they are looking for.
But maybe it would be nice to have a stripped down paint app, based on
some Krita brush engine(s), which has no kdelibs and koffice
dependencies (just Qt)?

I am working with the people at Touch Book to suggest an open source
sketch program to use with their new netbook that is coming out this
summer. http://www.alwaysinnovating.com/touchbook/
The Touch book works with a stylus and is very small hand held netbook. I
looks like it could be good as a sketch book sort of thing.
Does anyone have a favorite open source sketch program that they have
used? I think GTK-based is strongly prefered and the source code must be
available so they can include it in their image for the Touch Book. I
think they are also going to include Gimp but Gimp is not that great a
sketch program. Maybe someone on this list has experience with a more
streamline sketch program that runs on an open source platform.
Thanks -tom
