Krita on Mac OSX?

Hey all,

I'm contemplating moving to a macbook pro ---  I think I've seen some 
mention of a mac version of Krita, but what's the scoop?   Does it run 
well on the mac?   How hard is it to get a devel environment set up to 
build Krita?  Can you do it through fink?

In the worst case, I'm planning on getting Parallels, and could just 
install linux inside it, but it's be easier/nicer to do things natively
