One last thing and I stop to bothered you with Krita's UI this week.
Promised!

The fisrt impression for a new user with a program is very important. I
think that Krita can benefit from smalls improvements. The first en
certainly easiest thing to do is:

-the default texture, gradient an brush.
The current one are not very visual appealing and give a cheap look to
Krita. I have put a simple black to white gradient and an almost good
looking texture instead.
I have also correct the position of the maps on the buttons, put a
simple middle-grey line around those textures and put a white BG behind
the brush shape (really important for readability of the shape).

-the second is about the "the ugly bevels in the color palette" like
Sashmit Bhaduri <http://www.blogger.com/profile/3314675> said on
Cyrille's blog. A simple middle-grey line would be more elegant.
An anti-aliased border around the color circle could give a nicer look
to Krita to. But I'm no sure if it's possible with Qt3...
