Question about Blur filter - and about crashes

Hi,

First, a short question about the Blur filter. I have vaguely found out what the
Strength and Angle options in its configuration dialog are supposed to do (with
help of a Photoshop book and the kis_blur_filter.cc code), but cannot relate
that to what I see when using the filter.

I have the feeling that the Angle option sets the direction of blurring (and
apparently in radians, since values over 3 don't work), and the Strength option
seems to influence the fuzziness a bit... but I'm not sure. Can anyone help?

Second, Krita crashes extremely often nowadays :(
I'm trying to expand the Filters section in the handbook, and it occurs more
often than not, when opening a filter dialog or adjusting a setting, that it
just poofs out. Is this me or my installation (I'm suspecting lcms to play a
role here), or is the current 1.6 codebase simply not stable?
