Hi

With the introduction of infinite selections the extent() or exactBounds() of 
the selection is no longer enough.

If the default value is any other than "not selected" then the selection 
extends to infinity, but extent() doesn't reflect that.

As infinity is a little hard to handle, we can in most cases us the union of 
the paintdevice's extent and the selection's extent. That union is provided 
by selectedRect().

It uses extent but I'm thinking of using exactBounds instead.
