Well, it would be wrong to ignore crashes, would it :-). Anyway, I cannot 
reproduce the crash, but it may be image dependent. Would it be possible for 
you to mail me the image that you tested with?

About the compilation problem: we've been moving files around, and the build 
system doesn't like that, so you need to thoroughly clean your build tree. If 
you use srcdir!=buildir you can best just remove the krita subdir and do 
a ./configure again.
