Especially the paper STL-Style Generic Programming with Images 
(http://kogs-www.informatik.uni-hamburg.de/~koethe/papers/GenericProg2DC++Report.ps.gz) 
is pretty relevant, especially for Cyrille's iterators. Cool, quite directly 
applicable stuff.
