I will commit this patch once I get Krita to compile again -- this has nothing 
to do with your patch but with an injudicious combination of a kernel 
upgrade, video driver upgrade, qt-copy and kdelibs update that have rendered 
my system unusable for development work. 

Can you continue without the code being in cvs for the moment?
