Krita's old gradient code was some mixture between KDE gradients (mostly used 
for titlebars and similar UI stuff) and some homegrown stuff. I guess we 
should conform, and use Gimp gradients, but their format is a little complex, 
which not only makes writing the the resource implmentation a chore, but 
writing the docker, the dialog and the code that uses the gradient to paint a 
pain. So I haven't done this. As far as I can remember -- looked at it a 
while ago -- Karbon doesn't use Gimp gradients.
