Autolayer commits break Makefile.am

yes I just saw that yesterday

and I have fixed it now  - I hope

Somehow despite having checked out an entire branch the Makefile.am was still 
tagged as HEAD, so every time I committed changes to the branch this file 
went into head instead.

That should not happen anymore - sorry for the inconvinience
