About tools... What's the role of the view, after all? If I first select a 
tool with the device that currently owns the pointer, and then select a 
colour or whatever, why have KisView sit in the middle. The current tool 
should get the color well's color or the pattern selector's pattern directly; 
no reason why the view should know anything about it. 

And when another tool becomes current, the color well should be updated to 
reflect the state of the current tool.
