You can also select rectangles and move them :-). The truth of the matter is 
that the foundation is more or less done; there may be bugs, and perhaps 
there are areas where the foundation doesn't provide everything needed, and 
there are one or two things that would be nice to have -- dynamically 
loadable tools, filter plugins -- but all in all, it's now possible to work 
on things that really do somthing with the pixels.

As for the brush tool, I am working on that bit of code in particular -- 
currently I'm trying to get undo/redo to work more like expected, and next 
I'll do the in-betweening so you get a connected line. And the rest of it,
of course, I already posted a list :-).
