Krita now has moving selections, has previously discussed in the "moving selections" thread on this list. If someone would like to try out krita and tell me if the behavior is the correct one it would be very much appreciated. P.S. Unbeknownst to most people, Krita can actually load and save a variety of file formats, including Gimp and Photoshop using "import image" and "export image" items in the image menu.
