You don't happen to have any updates on this? We finished our freeze
for KDE 3.2.0 and somehow now would be a very good time to work
on getting the trees a bit more closer together.

What would help us too if you could give us a possiblity to access the
test cases you use for development, because sometime it's very hard
to merge patches or code of yours without having any feedback what
they break.

What do you think?
