status safari merge

Hi, 

I spent the last two nights merging the big hunk of the flow->block/inline 
split. I like the new code, very nice. A few of our old optimisation tricks 
are lost and some some variable/method names are suboptimal, but overall I'm 
very impressed, and would like to thank you for this huge contribution. 

I can feed you with cleanups and regression fixes I noticed during running it 
against our testsuite. There are still some areas to merge, but this should 
give you already some hope and motivation to look at our tree and merge the 
fixes we collected over the last 15 months in there and are still not in your 
tree (compared to v85).

Ah, btw, when do you plan to release another cvs snapshot? It doesn't matter 
to me if there are binaries (can't run safari anyway), just a source tarball 
would be fine.
