OK, I tried now with some other settings:

http://mirrors.kernel.org/gentoo/releases/amd64/2008.0/stages/stage3-amd64-2008.0.tar.bz2
as a download link
- English as language of KGet
- /home/wiselord (my home) as a download folder.

Problem still exists. Download doesn't starts immediately, only after pressing
OK in Save As dialog.
