Do KGet and Rekonq never complete the downloads on those sites?
Could you list some of them?

Once I was downloading something from one page -- forget which one -- and KGet
failed, so I tried with wget and it failed too. Despite the server did not
report any errors. After a while it worked for both.
So sometimes I suppose that it is not any program's but rather the web servers'
fault.

That is also why I need a little more information, to try with different
programs.
Especially if that helps me to narrow down the problem to a) KGet related b)
KIO related or c) server/connection related.

To not forget this report I'll reopen it.
