Yeah "threads" are the number of connections. Really not a good term for it,
I'll change the term for 4.5

What plugin is chosen depends in this case (4.3) on the priority and the number
of threads. I.e. if you set one thread in 4.3 then you'll always have the
TransferKIO one, if you set more than MultiSegKIO will be preferred. In 4.4
MultiSegKIO is always preferred when activated as it has a higher priority.

The "upload limit" etc. do nothing for TransferKIO and MultiSegKIO, that is why
they are hidden in 4.4 for those plugins that do not support these features.

In 4.4 it will look similar (in fact "upload limit" etc. hidden and some
fine-tuning) to this:
