Fixed in trunk and 4.1 stable branch (issue #1):
SVN commit 866036 by uwolfer:

Improve stability of new transfer dialog (and friends...):
* fix url -> string -> url converstions
* use deleteLater on QObjects
* use some const iterators
* cache expensive results

About the 2nd issue: As noone uf us KGet developers has a Win machine to test,
we close it for new (most probably it is already fixed because of the fix for
