Even in Konqueror you can hide the menubar (and i saw screenshot of many 
people browising with a menubarless konqueror), but IMHO this doesn't mean 
that the app can't be controlled.
After the toolbar cleanup of some months ago, IMHO the basics functions of 
kget are perfectly accessible through the toolbar too, without taking into 
account that the kde toolbars are fully configurable.

So, IMHO the reporter whish of an hide menubar action is perfectly acceptable.
