The exact same thing happens in my home folder exclusively. Having a specific
view setting (which I've had continuously) of Sort by Name, A-Z, Folders First,
causes on reloads to enable group view, sort by date, Z-A, Folders First
disabled. However, I found a temporary workaround which is that enabling Hidden
Files Last doesn't trigger this reset. No other directory appears affected.

I am running KDE neon and this was a problem with both Dolphin 24.12.2 and
24.12.3. I assumed this was related to
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=495878 but it appears not to be.
