I also think it's a mistake from the start and it's unwanted by the users and
it makes their lifes actually harder. Please revert this change or make it
optional. I migrate many users to Linux (KDE) and they find this behaviour
confusing and they are constantly asking me why. Just accept it's unpopular and
it's an obstacle to attract new users.
