Hi - thanks for your bug report! I can't seem to reproduce this issue on my
Fedora KDE 41 device - the visual effect doesn't occur, and the sequence of
events that leads to empty extended attributes in your report doesn't lead to
empty ones on mine.

Just to double-check - what type of file system is the test_folder on?

As a general note here, this symptom reminded me of
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=497767 , although the issues are occurring
in different places (Dolphin here, Open/Save dialog there)
