Demonstration

SUMMARY
If I enter something in the search field and then try to enter something at the
beginning of it, or remove something at the beginning, it'll move the pointer
to the end of the text after each action

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the search field
2. Type some nonsense there
3. Ctrl+Left Arrow
4. Type something or press Del

OBSERVED RESULT
Pointer moves to the end after each action

EXPECTED RESULT
Pointer should stay where it is
