            Bug ID: 503150
Summary: Newest version of dolphin aways opens to home
                    directory
    Classification: Applications
           Product: dolphin
           Version: 25.04.0
          Platform: Neon
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: dolphin-bugs-null at kde.org
          Reporter: zpnewman10 at gmail.com
                CC: kfm-devel at kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

Every time I open dolphin, it opens to the home directory. Any previously open
tabs are lost, and if I had the pane split to show two side-by-side views, it
resets back to one. If I open the "Configure Dolphin" panel, I can confirm that
I have it set to "Show on startup: Folders, tabs, and window state from last
time"

This is a new development, as it worked fine as of a few days ago. Change may
be caused by whatever recent update added the little dolphin to the icon? As
that's fairly new as well and seemed to happen around the same time.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Configure dolphin to show last window state on startup
2. Open dolphin, navigate to some non-home directory, or open a new tab, or
split the pane into two views
3. Close dolphin
4. Reopen to be greeted with the home directory regardless of where you last
were, and all tabs/panes gone

OBSERVED RESULT

Dolphin always opens to home directory, regardless of configuration.

EXPECTED RESULT

Dolphin opens to correct directory from last state.
