Agree with John most likely the same issue. I'm also able to repro
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=496716 with Konsole and Alacritty. Let's
close this one and 496716 as duplicates of 495741 since that one is already
linked to Kwin and got attention from David Edmundson.
