SUMMARY
This is a feature request, not a bug. It would be useful to be able to apply
the filter to files only, without affecting the directories. This is useful for
a not so niche scenario:

1. When conquering the directories with locked filter, so I can see filtered
files in different directories without reapplying them. Because they are also
filtered, going up one level of directory hierarchy means the directories are
all invisible, and I have to delete filter, go into directory and then reapply.

But this needs to be a setting that can be switched anytime, like the lock. I
personally would be happy if filter is restricted to files only if the lock is
enabled. But that can be unexpected to combine two different functionalities in
one setting.
