I also have the impression that an update made some difference. I had once an
issue, when dragging didn't work at all and had to reboot the system, but
afterward, it seems to work OK and didn't have a need to repeat it.

A bit more of time is needed to observe it, so at this point, I can't say for
sure it is fixed, but there is a good chance it is.
