SUMMARY
When renaming a file on the desktop, either by clicking once on the file name,
or by pressing F2, or by right click->rename the selected previous filename
remains visible under the new filename that is being typed in.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enter file rename mode on a desktop icon (F2, or right click-rename, or
single click on file name)

OBSERVED RESULT
1. current filename is selected (which is expected)
2. while typing new name, the new text is shown over the old file-name, making
the result illegible)
3. when the renaming is finished, the new name is showed correctly

EXPECTED RESULT
When typing new filename the old one should disappear completely, especially if
the text is preselected.
