I'm using i3wm with archlinux.
I have found that: if haven't start plasma-desktop before:
   the kde applications can't start other programs with gui, not only dolphin,
but also the system-setting and so on.
If start plasma-desktop and close it and start the wm:
  they can now start other programs, but the programs lost their themes(I mean,
the QT programs don't show the correct themes). That won't happen in KDE5.
  The theme of QT programs is correct if you start with dmenu or any
terminal-emulator, including the konsole of dolphin.
