I'm having the same issue on arch linux with dolphin 24.05.0 when trying to
view video files on my NAS over SMB.
Other file formats display normally.

kf.kio.core: An error occurred during write. The worker terminates now.
kf.kio.core: KFileItem: exists called when not initialised
QUrl("smb://user@ip/folder/video.mp4")
