A KDE developer may know better than me, but I still think it's most likely due
to Debian Testing having incompatible versions of the Dolphin and kio-extras
packages (24.12.0 vs 24.08.0). So if I'm right, the problem is with the Debian
packaging of KDE software and not the KDE software itself.   smbclient is
completely separate from KDE and so is not affected by this.

Have you tried searching or asking a question on the Debian user forums? Or
searching the Debian bug tracker? Otherwise is trying a more stable
distribution an option?
