Bug ID: 486043
Summary: Dolphin crashed right after running xz on a tar file.
Classification: Applications
Product: dolphin
Version: 23.08.5
Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Keywords: drkonqi
Severity: crash
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: dolphin-bugs-null at kde.org
Reporter: tj6red at gmail.com
CC: kfm-devel at kde.org
Target Milestone: ---
Application: dolphin (23.08.5)
Qt Version: 5.15.12
Frameworks Version: 5.115.0
Operating System: Linux 6.8.7-200.fc39.x86_64 x86_64
Windowing System: X11
Distribution: "Fedora Linux 39 (KDE Plasma)"
DrKonqi: 5.27.11 [KCrashBackend]
-- Information about the crash:
I right clicked and opened Konsole in a directory, then I ran xz on a file.
Dolphin immediately crashed when I hit enter.
I think it might have something to do with getting file statistics (mainly file
size because that constantly updates when compressing a file), but that's just
a hunch. I'm not a programmer.
The reporter is unsure if this crash is reproducible.
-- Backtrace:
Application: Dolphin (dolphin), signal: Segmentation fault
