Classification: Applications
Product: dolphin
Version: 23.08.5
Platform: Manjaro
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED

Target Milestone: ---
Hi, first of all thank you for the ton of Work you put into making my work
possible :)
SUMMARY
I often find myself copying a path that starts with smb:// and make it
avaliable to my colleagues who use Windows. This brings with it a communication
error, My Dolphin allows taking in Windows style paths and autoconverts them to
smb:// format despite what #485731 sais (maybe that's only applicable for
certain versions), but the other way round does not work. I cannot send my
colleagues smb:// links and expect them to just use them.
This means I have to spend a lot of time replacing / with \ in text. This
happens so often, that a colleauge allready wrote a commandline tool to convert
those two formats.
I would Absolutely love to see in the address field context menu for right
clicking on the path "copy in Windows format" or something like that below the
normal copy.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open a smb path
2. mark the path, right click on it, copy it
3. notice that when sending it to a Windows colleague you would need to rewrite
the path
OBSERVED RESULT
I need to adjust the copied path replacing all / with \ and rewriting the start
EXPECTED RESULT
I would be offered "copy Windows path"
