STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Navigate to root folder (/)

OBSERVED RESULT
Subfolders are displayed, but badges (padlock, link, etc.) take over a minute
to appear.

EXPECTED RESULT
Subfolders are displayed with badges immediately.

Operating System: KDE neon 5.27
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.103.0
Qt Version: 5.15.8
Kernel Version: 5.19.0-35-generic (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The effect is most noticeable on the root folder but there are much shorter
delays on some other folders (e.g. /var)

Badges appear immediately on non-folder items, e.g. links to files

This message always appears in the journal when the first folder badge is
displayed:
