            Bug ID: 453306
Summary: Can't perform normal fucntions in Dolphin
           Product: dolphin
           Version: 22.04.0
          Platform: Neon Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: major
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: dolphin-bugs-null at kde.org
          Reporter: johndemicco at yahoo.com
                CC: kfm-devel at kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Dolphin won't allow me to create a folder and new config file in /etc by using
my password, as is possible in every Linux OS i've used, which as an ADHDer is
pretty important.
NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug
symbols.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open dolphin
2. right click to add a new folder in /etc so i can add or edit a config file
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
no option to complete action with the SAME DAMN PASSWORD I'D USE TO DO IT IN
THE F*NG CLI
I open dolphin, copy the path, paste it into terminal, create the folder, then
using terminal open gedit - crap i haven't used an editor like this in 15
years, stop, decide design this bad isn't worth my time and start looking for a
KDE replacement again (was this why I stopped b4?), then submit it as a bug,
because this is not a feature if I am definitely trying to do this on purpose
Let's not pretend the problem is more important than it is.
Just give an option at setup / install to enable or disable.

EXPECTED RESULT
create the folder using the GUI (which is part of the OS) and enter the
appropriate password
I have ADHD & using the CLI for certain things without being able to SEE the
files structure is not useful. Also, two clicks of a mouse + typing a password
vs typing out how many characters poorly, then retyping? I'm running a home
desktop PC, not critical infrastructure; I'll take responsibility for my own
system.
