The issue was about dragging and dropping a file into a folder "A", whose
content Dolphin detail's view shows.
When A contains however so many folders that there's no  free space available
in the view to drop into directly into A, the dropped file will end up in any
of A's subfolders.

I'd guess the best workaround is navigate a folder up and to drop it there onto
the destination folder A.
