            Bug ID: 463617
Summary: unwanted disclosure of directory names (privacy issue)
    Classification: Applications
           Product: dolphin
           Version: 21.12.3
          Platform: OpenSUSE
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: bars: location
          Assignee: dolphin-bugs-null at kde.org
          Reporter: ulrich.deiters at gmx.de
                CC: kfm-devel at kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

When a Dolphin instance is opened, the menu bar shows the symbol "personal
folder", followed by the actual folder path (/ > home > my_name > …). A click
on the "personal folder" symbol shows a menu containing a long list of the
folders and devices that used during the previous months.

I do not want Dolphin to memorize all my movements. Can I purge the list? Or
better: Can I set up Dolphin in such a way that the menu shows *only* the
personal folder, the root folder, and eventually the mount points of mounted
file systems.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a Dolphin instance with a menu bar containing an address field
2. Click on the "personal folder" symbol
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
A drop-down menu opend that shows the previously visited folders.

EXPECTED RESULT
… should merely show the persola folder, the root folder, and eventually
mounted file systems
