I can't see any problems when I browse a folder with 236 photos.  Some
questions:

1. When you say "photos missing" are you saying that all files show but some
have no thumbnail?
2. If so, what are your settings in Configure=>General=>Previews?
3. Regarding sorting, what do you have under Hamburger=>Sort By?
