I would also like a option to keep the generated thumbnails.

Only a few weeks ago I encrypted my drives to LUKS. My main SSD + 3 internal
HDD's + 1 External HDD.

I was confused why my thumbnails weren't being saved, until I found this
thread.

Now, I get the reason why it doesn't save them by default, but I would love a
option to keep the thumbnails anyway.

I have many folders with videos and pictures and now they are constantly being
regenerated every time I go to those folders.
