You'd need to try a "-x":
    balooshow -x IMG_20180813_121043.jpg
to see the indexed metadata.

I see the same - and agree that if the column/property is "Date Photographed"
then the implication is the original date and time:
    photoDateTimeOriginal

Worth flagging as Confirmed...
